Assignments

When is my assignment due?

Consult your course materials for assignment due dates. For an assignment to be on time, it must be received in the Distance and Online Education Student Services Office on or before the due date listed in your course material.

If an assignment due date falls on a weekend, holiday, or during the midterm break

Generally, assignments must be received in the Distance and Online Education Student Services Office by the date indicated in your course manual. However, if an assignment due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or statutory holiday, then the due date of the assignment is the next working day. If the assignment due date occurs during the midterm break in February, it will be due on the Monday following the midterm break. If you are not able to complete an assignment on time, contact your instructor well in advance of the due date in case your request for an extension is denied.

Late assignments

When an assignment is submitted through the Distance and Online Education Office, regardless of whether it is on time or not, the receipt of the assignment is recorded on WebCT in its course under "my grades". This does not mean that the instructor has to accept the assignment if it is late; it means that the assignment has been received by the Distance and Online Education staff and forwarded to your instructor. Consult your course manual or contact your instructor for information on your course policy regarding late assignments.
