Attention Students!

Attention all students planning to undertake a Major, Double Major, Advanced Major, Honours, or Double Honours degree in Women's and Gender Studies.

OUR DEGREE REQUIREMENTS HAVE CHANGED!

All students registered for the above degrees must take:

WOMN 2000 Feminist Thought
(which replaces WOMN 2520 Introduction to Feminist Theory).
This course is offered every year.

WOMN 3000 Interdisciplinary Research in Women's and Gender Studies
(which replaces WOMN 3580 Feminist Approaches to Research). 
This course is offered every second year.  It is  next offered in Winter 2012, so if you plan to graduate in the next two years, you need to take it in 2012.

Note:  If you have already completed WOMN 2520 and WOMN 3580, or have taken these courses through the University of Winnipeg, you DO NOT need to take WOMN 2000 and WOMN 3000 also.

 

Honours and Double Honours students must also take:

WOMN 4200 Seminar in Women's and Gender Studies
(which replaces WOMN 4110 Advanced Feminist Theory). 
Non-Honours students can request permission to take this course.  This course if offered every second year.  It is next offered in Winter 2012, taught by Dr.Janice Dodd, with the topic "Gender, Science and Human Rights".  If you are planning to graduate in the next two years, you should register for this course in Winter 2012.

WOMN 4100 Honours Thesis (look at the profiles of Faculty members on our web site to see who supervises theses on a topic in which you are interested).
