(History of Ethics, Normative Ethics, Moral Psychology).

I did my Ph.D. work at Princeton University under John M. Cooper.

My dissertation investigates the relationship between virtue, knowledge
and happiness in the Platonic works and in orthodox Stoicism. Recently,
I have been working on the Stoic account of natural theology, and on
ancient psychological accounts of weakness of the will (akrasia).
