The English Media Lab is the primary post production resource for the Film Studies program at the University of Manitoba. Hardware resources include: Apple professional desktop systems, Sony DVCam decks (some HDV support), USB Shuttle controllers, pro headphones, and a professional audio finishing system (Digidesign).

Playback monitors, DVD/VHS playback, monitor speakers,  microphones, and portable offline storage are available to support input, output and review.

Software support includes FinalCut Studio, Adobe® AfterEffects Professional, Adobe® Creative Suite 2, DigiDesign® Protools, FinalDraft Scriptwriter’s Suite and Autodesk® Maya.
