The Holy See
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops Founded in 1943 and officially recognized by the Holy See in 1948, the CCCB is the national association of Canada's bishops. Currently the CCCB is active in issues such as: ecumenism, liturgy, Christian education, human rights, social justice in Canada and the Third World, respect for life, synods, relations with the Holy See and with other episcopal conferences.
The John Templeton Foundation
It was established in 1987 by renowned international investor, Sir John Templeton, to encourage a fresh appreciation of the critical importance — for all peoples and cultures — of the moral and spiritual dimensions of life. The Templeton Foundation seeks to act as a critical catalyst for progress, especially by supporting studies which demonstrate the benefits of an open, humble and progressive approach to learning in these areas. It is the Foundation's purpose to stimulate a high standard of excellence in scholarly understanding which can serve to encourage further worldwide explorations of the moral and spiritual dimensions of the Universe and of the human potential within its ultimate purpose.
Jewish-Christian Relations

The Second Edition English Translation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church includes the corrections promulgated by Pope John Paul II on 8 September 1997. These corrections to the English text of the Catechism of the Catholic Church were made to harmonize it with the official Latin text promulgated by Pope John Paul II on the same date.
