Student Ambassadors must be enrolled as a part or full-time student in the undergraduate or graduate programs at the Faculty of Architecture. They must be able to represent the faculty and the university and be willing to volunteer for at least 10 hours over the course of the academic year.
Potential student ambassadors will be required to apply for the available positions in the spring of the academic year for the following year. The applications will be reviewed and selected from a committee that consists of the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Associate Dean (Academic) and Department Heads.
What Is A Student Ambassador?
Student ambassadors are meaningful and engaged students who will play an integral role in the volunteering their time to promote the faculty. Selected students will become the “face” of the Faculty at various events including recruitment events and serve as a strong link between their academic program and prospective students as well as the community. In addition, they will act as the support team for events within the Faculty.
Benefits To The Student
The position of student ambassador is a volunteer, unpaid, leadership position. However, via Student Life, students that are selected and act as a student ambassador will receive recognition on their co-curricular transcript under the volunteer and participation category. In addition, these students will be recognized annual in the Network publication and will receive a letter from the Dean’s Office for their participation in the program.
