J.M. Gilchrist Bursary in Architecture
Terms of Reference

The J.M. Gilchrist Bursary in Architecture is available annually to a deserving student who could not otherwise afford to study Architecture at The University of Manitoba.

The award is available to students entering the Faculty of Architecture and to students already enrolled in any year in Environmental Design or in the pre-Master's year in Architecture.

In assessing their claims for assistance, the Awards Committee will take into account the general level of scholarship as well as the demonstrated financial need of the respective applicants.

Funds will be available at the Comptroller's Office when the student has registered at the opening of the session for a full program in Environmental Design or Architecture.

Should the recipient not enroll in the session for which the award is made, the bursary may revert to the next succeeding applicant (if any) in order of merit.

Applications are to be made on the forms available at the Financial Aid and Awards Office.
