Bachelor of Science Degrees

You can choose from four different undergraduate degrees in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, each four years in length. The first year, you must enter University 1; an introductory year to the university. There are several specific courses you are encouraged to take to in University 1, before entering the Faculty. In your second year, you begin to focus your studies according to your interests.

Bachelor of Science (Agriculture)
Plunge yourself into the world of food production! You can specialize in one of three areas: Plants Biotechnology, plant development; Agronomy, crop production or Animal Systems, animal production.

Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness)
Apply a business perspective to the agricultural industry. You can specialize in one of two areas: Agribusiness, managing an agricultural or food-processing business; Agricultural Economics, economics of agricultural products.

Bachelor of Science (Agroecology)
Take your passion for the planet and learn about conserving and protecting a variety of habitats. There is only one area of specialization: Agroecology.

Bachelor of Science (Food Science)
Learn how to improve the processing, handling and preservation of food from the manufacturers to the distributors. There is only one area of specialization: Food Science.
