GRADUATE
PROGRAM
The Department of Soil Science welcomes applications for Graduate Studies (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) for a diverse range of topics. Our graduates have been very successful in their careers and are readily employed. We provide stipend funding and also encourage students with scholarships to apply. Please follow these procedures:
- Search our website for current student opportunities, or identify a Professor who is working in an area of your interest. (http://www.umanitoba.ca/afs/soil_science/)
- Contact the Professor directly through email or phone to discuss the possibility of joining our graduate program. Please provide them with your Curriculum Vitae, copies of your transcripts and a statement of research interests. They may also wish to speak with your references.
- If the Professor indicates that they are willing to take you as a student, apply formally through our Faculty of Graduate Studies (Application for Graduate Studies). Please keep the Professor directly informed especially related to possible starting dates, visa requirements, or any logistical issues.
