Core Learning Objectives

After you graduate from the Diploma in Agriculture program, you will be expected to have proficient skills in the following areas:
  1. Technical Knowledge and Competence: One of the hallmarks of the diploma program is how it combines the practical with the theoretical. You will emerge with a balance between practices and principles.
  2. Critical Thinking Ability: Through research, problem solving and decision-making exercises, our students learn to analyze information and defend their ideas and opinions in a critical way.
  3. Awareness of Diverse Perspectives: We will teach you to look beyond the farm gate or the counter of an input dealer. The events in today’s global community directly affect the prices and trends on a local level, and the Diploma program emphasizes the importance of broadening horizons.
  4. Personal Development: We will foster the development of your communication and interpersonal skills, to challenge you to meet the professional integrity standards the agri-food industry demands.
