Non Credit Short Course

Horse and Stable Management is a non credit course offered by the Department of Animal Science at the University of Manitoba.

This series of lectures deals with the principles of horse production and management, including anatomy and physiology, breeding, reproductive management, nutrition, stable and pasture management, health and welfare, and equine behaviour. This course will provide the tools and knowledge that will allow you to provide quality care for your equine partner.

First Class: Thursday, September 19, 2019
Last Class: Thursday, December 5, 2019
Class Time: 5:30-8:30 PM

Fee: $350 - Guest speakers and a farm tour are included.
Instructor: Dr. Emma McGeough, Assistant Professor.

No Class: Thursday, October 17, 2019

Only individuals who have completed Grade 12 are eligible to register for this course. The University reserves the right to cancel any course and refund full fee, and to reschedule classes cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances.

The course registration deadline, course withdrawal deadline and full refund date (less a $25 administration fee) is Thursday, September 5, 2019.
