RADAR detecting a wind farm
What happened
On November 18, 2009, there were clear skies over southern Manitoba. Despite this, persistent RADAR echoes occurred to the southwest of Winnipeg by about 120 km. The source of this area of persistent echoes was the wind farm located in the area.
