An anticyclonically-rotating vortex forming, as seen on visible satellite loops

Overview

This page shows the satellite imagery over the Lake Winnipeg during a time when an interesting phenomenon formed. After some discussion, it was named the Long Point Induced Spinning System. It is possibly one half of a pair of Von Kármán vortices induced by Long Point, in the north basin of Lake Winnipeg.
