CSME Symposium on Advanced Energy Systems
CSME Advanced Energy Systems technical division is organizing a Symposium on Advanced Energy Systems as a part of this year’s CSME International Congress 2012.The Symposium is organized to provide a forum for the exchange of the latest technical information and for the dissemination of the high-quality research results and new developments in the area of advanced energy systems. The 2012 CSME Symposium on Materials Technology in Mechanical Engineering will be held in conjunction with the CSME International Congress 2012. The objective of this symposium is to report knowledge and understanding of the development and use of materials in mechanical engineering design. In an effort to further the cross-pollination between the materials science and mechanical engineering communities, papers are welcome from all aspects of materials science and engineering that place an emphasis on their use in Mechanical Engineering applications. CSME Symposium on Recent Developments in Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures
The CSME Symposium on Recent Developments in Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures will be held in conjunction with the CSME Congress 2012. We welcome papers relating to the following topics: novel experimental testing and numerical methods to characterize fatigue crack formation and multistage growth, mechanisms and growth of fatigue cracks from defects, new multiaxial fatigue life prediction methodologies, new methods for notch root analysis, size and gradient effects, prediction of scatter in fatigue behavior of materials due to variability in materials microstructures and service conditions, mechanisms of micro and macro fracture in advanced materials, design against fatigue damage and failure, multiscale constitutive modeling to simulate fatigue and fracture evolution, high temperature deformation, and techniques to characterize and predict creep-fatigue-oxidation interaction.
