Banner 7 Upgrade Timetable

The Aurora Finance System is upgrading from Banner 6 to Banner 7 between November 16th and November 19th, 2007.  This upgrade is necessary to enhance performance by way of system improvements and functionality.  Due to this upgrade, system functionality will phase down on Friday November 16th and is scheduled to resume on November 20th.  Here are the timelines you will need to consider:

Friday, November 16th, 2007:

  • The entire Aurora Finance System, including FAST Reporting, will be down as of 12:00 p.m. (noon).
  • The Cashier's Office will remain open with limited resources in the afternoon and will stop accepting Interac payments at 2:30 p.m.

 Saturday November 17th and Sunday November 18th, 2007:

  • System down as upgrade to Banner 7 continues. The system is unavailable to all users.

 Monday, November 19th, 2007:

  • System down as upgrade to Banner 7 continues. The system is unavailable to most users.
  • System will be brought back by 12:00 p.m.(noon) for client testing by Financial Services and Student Records ONLY. All other users will be locked out of the Aurora system.
  • The Cashier's Office will remain open but Cashiers will be unable to verify student account balances in Banner.

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007:

  • Full system functionality and access is scheduled to resume.
