Schedule and Registration

Our sessions include the following topics.

  • Session 1: Gradebook, Dropbox (assignments), and Quizzes
  • Session 2: Communications, Sections & Groups, and Learning Object Repository (LOR)
  • Session 3: Introduction to D2L - Adding Content To Your Course
  • Session 4: Drop In - Bring Your Course and Questions and Talk to a Trainer
  • Session 5: Competencies Super Session (Learn to Effectively Add Competencies and Rubrics to your Course)

Events Calendar Training (Chrome users will require the RSS Subscription Extension to view this link).

The new University of Manitoba Events Calendar (Active Data) will replace the current events system (nTreePoint).

Free training sessions are offered for university staff and students who are responsible for posting events for their units and groups. Please note that registration for these sessions is required.


JUMP Web Portal:

The JUMP portal is a customizable web environment that hosts a variety of web-based application tools. JUMP provides role-based access to a broad and comprehensive range of information as well as course and group homepages. This service is available to students, faculty, and staff.

RedDot Content Management System training:

RedDot is the University of Manitoba's content management system. It is used by web content providers to publish new content and edit existing content on the University of Manitoba web site.

Teaching Lab:

If you are looking for a lab to conduct your own training sessions there is one computer lab available in 340 University Centre, however booking is required. Bookings are subject to availability and software requirements. Our lab has 24 student seats and 1 instructors station. To book the lab please contact us at training@umanitoba.ca or 474-7236.
