eduroam provides students, faculty, and staff with fast, secure, and reliable access to wireless services at participating institutions in 70 countries worldwide – over 106 institutions across Canada and over 21,600 service locations globally. 

eduroam (education roaming) is a roaming wireless access service developed for the international research and education community.

Getting Started
Use your University of Manitoba login credentials on every eduroam network, regardless of where you are.

To connect to eduroam (U of M students, faculty and staff):

  1. Ensure your wireless is active
  2. Select eduroam from the available Wi-Fi networks
  3. Next enter your University of Manitoba email address and password to connect to the network
    • Staff and Faculty email format - firstname.lastname@umanitoba.ca
    • Student email format -  UMNetID@myumanitoba.ca

The local eduroam network at University of Manitoba will only work for visiting guests. The home institution provides technical support for eduroam - contact IST Service Desk for technical assistance.
