Go to Tools -> Accounts

Click the plus sign and add a Directory Service

Enter the LDAP server as direct.cc.umanitoba.ca
Uncheck the box that says Use SSL to connect

Click Add Account
With the newly created LDAP account selected click on the Advanced button

Enter the search base as o=University of Manitoba,c=CA

Hit OK
You are now done creating the LDAP
