uofm-wpa secure wireless setup for Ubuntu 10.04

This document is meant to help you configure a connection to the uofm-wpa secure wireless network, using Ubuntu 10.04. These instructions are not supported, but are intended as a guide to help you get connected.

To configure

  1. Select uofm-wpa from your wireless connections

     
  2. Fill out the settings as indicated below.
    Notes: Wireless Security is "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise"

    Important: Be sure to select the "Thawte Premium Server CA" certificate. This certificate can be found in the /etc/ssl/certs folder, on most linux distributions

  3. You should now be able to connect

Troubleshooting information

The drivers for your wireless card must support WPA2.
Success has been seen connecting to the wireless on a number of Intel and Broadcom chipsets.
