If you are or plan to be a student in Classics, History, Philosophy, Film, Theatre or Icelandic, most of your classes and virtually all of your professors will be in University College. A number of other disciplines are here as well. There are 16 regular classrooms and over 60 faculty offices as well as offices for about 40 graduate students and organizations.
The Concourse Lounge is where extracurricular lectures and colloquia are regularly held; students also gather here to talk and relax. University College also hosts the Intensive English Program (IEP) which offers instruction in Canadian culture and oral and written English to students from Asia, Europe and South America.
The Black Hole Theatre produces plays throughout the academic year—in the evenings and during the day at its Lunch B.h.a.g.g. presentations.
If you are taking Astronomy courses, you will be studying the stars at University College’s Lockhart Planetarium. We also have the Playcare Centre which has both indoor and outdoor facilities and provides full Day Care for pre-school children.
Lockers are provided at no charge to interested students and staff.
University College is connected by tunnels to most other buildings on Campus.
