Dr. Tina Jongsma-Greenfield

Tina Greenfield (BA and MA University of Manitoba, 1992 and1997; PhD University of Cambridge, 2014) is a zooarchaeologist who has worked on archaeological sites in Canada, Europe, Israel, South Africa, and Turkey. She completed her PhD research on ancient animal economies of early empires at the University of Cambridge, UK.

She is co-director of the Near Eastern and Biblical Archaeology Laboratory (NEBAL) in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and is actively analyzing animal bone collections from Tel es-Safi, and Tel Burna in Israel, Ziyaret Tepe and Gol Tepe in Turkey, and several sites in Iraq. Her passions are archaeology and family.
