Donations of Liturgical Appurtenances An important event during the St. Andrew’s College Feast Day Celebrations on December 10, 2006 was the blessing, by His Eminence Metropolitan JOHN, of the new Liturgical appurtenances for the College Chapel which were donated by generous donors from across Canada. This was the culmination of the project spearheaded by College Board Member Fr. Bohdan Hladio, which began in the fall of 2005. We extend our sincere gratitude to the following donors who answered the appeal for items for our Chapel. 1. Ludmilla Weaver (Plashchanytsia, in memory of Rev. Alexander and Antonina Krawchenko); 2. Western Diocese of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada (Chalice Set); 3. Anne Krawetz (Ripidia, in memory of parents; Mary and Alexander Palynchuk, brothers; John, Walter, William and Nicholas and sister; Dr. Dora Cullimore); 4. Dominika Ohienko Branch of the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada, Lac La Biche Parish District, Alberta (Sick-call kit); 5. Halya and Stephan Newediuk (2 candle sticks, in memory of Paraskevia and Nikolai Malycky); 6. Fr. Ihor Okhrimtchouk (Altar Cross, in memory of his father Yaroslav Okhrimtchouk); 7. John Oystryk (Censer, Water Blessing Pail, Kropylo, in memory of departed family members and with prayers for the health of the living); 8. Nellie Stratychuk (Tabernacle for the Altar (with cover)).The Chapel of St. Andrew’s College is the very heart of the academic and spiritual life of the students of Theology as well as other interested students and thus these gifts to the Chapel will contribute to the spiritual growth of young people who will be future clergy and members of our Church. We also take this opportunity to make it known to other possible donors that there are still items which are needed for our Chapel (i.e. Stykhari for the varied sizes of our Theology students, Altar Gospel, Lenten altar covers, …). Should you wish to consider making any such donation, please contact St. Andrew’s College. Thank you.
