Thanks to the many generous supporters of St. Andrew’s College, we were able to complete some specific physical plant projects which had been on our wish list:

  • installed a new walk-in cooler for the kitchen,
  • purchased two new computers and a colour printer for the Main Office,
  • were able to do the most pressing patching and filling of pot holes in the parking lot,
  • three sewer access points were created for regular and more efficient sewer maintenance.
  • purchased and installed a window unit air conditioner for the kitchen,
  • heavy duty all weather matts were installed at high traffic entrances
  • installed a safety rail in the roof,
  • completed the Courtyard Restoration Project in the Spring/Summer.

Тепер Будівельний Комітет працює над здійсненням майбутніх проектів з метою покращити внутрішні та зовнішні засоби. Якщо хтось з наших жертводавців побажає зробити пожертву на якийсь конкретний проект, то ми могли б запропонувати наступні нижчеподані проекти.

The Building Committee is currently undertaking new projects to enhance the College interior and exterior facilities. Should any of our donors wish to make a donation to any such specific physical plant projects, may we suggest the following:

  • new tiles need to be installed in specific high traffic areas (approx. $1500)
  • the two existing paved parking lots (North West area) (front area) are in bad shape and must be repaved. (approx. $35,000 each)
  • it would be advantageous to upgrade exterior lights and interior stairwell lights with safer and more energy efficient fixtures. (approx. $2,000)
  • computers and programs become outdated and need to be upgraded or replaced periodically – every few years. (approx. $2,000)
  • total renovation of student TV Lounge area including new furniture ($15,000 - $20,000)
  • two areas in the main foyer lounges (in front of the Chapel and in front of the Dining Hall) have old, worn rectangular carpets attached to the floor. It is time that they were replaced with bright colored carpets in keeping with the beautiful new lounge furniture resting on those areas. (approx. $1,500)
  • support for the Chair of Orthodox Studies
  • support for the Chair of Church Music
  • air conditioning could be considered for the:
    • East Wing (General Office, Library and Classrooms)
    • West Wing (3rd and 4th floors of Residence and 2nd floor Offices)
    • Main Dining Hall, Foyer and Chapel areas (free standing air cooled unit).
  • elevators could be considered for the future. Either two separate elevators are needed (West Wing residence and East Wing Classrooms) or one elevator for the West Wing residence and a walkway to the east Wing classrooms (from 2nd floor West Wing residence)
