New Joint Committee Created We are heralding the creation of a Joint Committee of the Members of the Board of Directors of St. Andrew’s College and the Members of the Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. This new Joint Committee is established to facilitate a harmonious exchange of ideas and to discuss issues of mutual concerns for the growth, strengthening and future development of St. Andrew’s College and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. This first milestone meeting was held at St. Andrew’s College during the May 2007 meeting of the Full Board of Directors of St. Andrew’s College, which coincided with the Spring meeting of the Full Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. At the invitation of St. Andrew’s College, the Members of the Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada joined the Members of the Board of Directors of St. Andrew’s College for a delicious informal dinner in the College dining hall which was later followed, in the classroom, by a frank and open discussion between the Members of both Boards. The Board of Directors of St. Andrew’s College is enthusiastically looking forward to many positive developments from this new initiative at cooperation and common effort.
