Student Travel Assistance

Students should note that requests for Student Travel Assistance can no longer be accommodated due to the overwhelming number recieved. Travel assistance, offered to subsidize the travel costs of student delegates, was made possible through generous contributions made by the University of Manitoba and funds generated by previous CMSC conferences.

Program Information Now Online

A schedule of conference events and a preliminary technical program has at last made it to our Program Information page, and is available for download in MS Word and Adobe PDF formats.

Parking on Campus

Information on parking and fees is now available on our Registration Info page.

Guidelines for Poster Preparation

For those authors participating in our poster session, a few guidelines have been prepared, and are available from our Program information page.

DKC Macdonald Lecturer Confirmed

It has been confirmed that this year's Macdonald Lecturer will be Dr. Bill Wallace, Director General of the National Research Counsel - Institute for Aerospace Research. Dr. Wallace will present a paper entitled "Old Problems - New Solutions, The Metallurgy of 7000 Series Aluminum Alloys"

Applications for student travel assistance are available for download on the Registration Information page.

University of Manitoba Contributes Funding for Student Travel

The University of Manitoba has graciously donated $5000.00 towards student travel assistance for this year's conference. This assistance is made available to students attending the conference, traveling distances in excess of 500 km. Applications are now available on the Registration Information page.
