Review by Christina Pike.
...you are alone in the forest. The night is very dark. There are shadows everywhere.
In Werewolf Attack! Townsend touches on all the topics an avid werewolf fan would like to read. He begins with the werewolf, then the werewolf attack, the change and legends and then goes into detail comparing the stories from the past with the legends. He explains how one becomes a werewolf, how to spot a werewolf and then how to stop a werewolf. Townsend concludes his exploration with the movie werewolves and then real-life wolfmen. There is also a glossary to help readers understand the words presented and additional on-line references.
Townsend has created a book that is attractive to a reader. Each topic is presented with a catchphrase to grab the reader's attention. There is enough detail to keep the reader interested and also colourful pictures to enhance the material that is presented. Each topic is presented succinctly and keeps the interest of its reader.
A must-read for any werewolf fan or any science fiction fan.
Christina Pike is the principal of St. Francis school in Harbour Grace, NL.
