Mary Wallace's book, How to Make Great Stuff for 'Your Room, is the kid's answer to redecorating. It shows the young designer how to recycle things around the house to create a fun environment. Stuff a sausage chair. Turn old clothes into a braided rug. Weave a lampshade. Create personalized picture frames and artwork. Transform a bed with a headboard, designer and tie-dyed sheets, and a one-of-a-kind comforter cover. A bulletin board, a paper-tube wall shelf for tiny knickknacks, a knotted hammock for all those stuffed animals, innovative clothes hangers, and laundry gobblers help the young designer to organize things. And Mary Wallace doesn't stop there. Walls, floors, ceilings, doors and windows are also given the designer treatment. A variety of crafts and skills are incorporated.
