Extended Education is seeking an experienced, academically credentialed, subject matter expert to instruct the following course:
Strategic Analysis - MGMT 0400
This course is offered as part of the Applied Human Resource Management program, which is ideally suited for internationally educated professionals seeking a pathway towards professional success in Manitoba and beyond. The Strategic Analysis course is designed to give students the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge accumulated in earlier courses to multi-dimensional case problems. Through case analysis and classroom discussion, students will learn and apply a business policy system and decision making model. The business policy system requires a disciplined approach to identifying strategy based on environmental, resource, and other issues. Students will be expected to synthesize these issues and apply the decision making model to develop management action plans. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have developed an understanding of the processes of general management and the basics of an effective strategic analysis process. Topics include a variety of case studies that are applicable today?s business environment.
The responsibilities of the position include
? Delivering 36 hours of face-to-face classes to international students;
? Creating student assessments and exams original to each section;
? Grading assignments and exams;
? Preparing supplementary course materials.
Access to a personal computer is a requirement of this position.
There are two daytime sections of this course; the tentative schedule is as follows:
? Section 1: September 20 ? November 1, Mondays & Wednesdays 8:30 am ? 11:30 am
? Section 2: September 20 ? November 1, Mondays & Wednesdays 11:45 am ? 2:45 pm

Remuneration per section is $3,400.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, professional certification and work experience in the field of Business Management and Administration. In addition, applicants should have experience in adult learning and teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. Applicants must be committed to life-long learning and embrace a learner-centered approach to teaching. The ability to engage students in their learning environment and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of the position. Assets also include experience instructing at a post-secondary level, using teaching & learning technology (e.g. UMLearn), and demonstrated leadership skills.
