to University
A seminar course designed to help students make the transition
from high school to university by imparting the knowledge, skills,
and attitudes requisite for success in university study. Each
section limited to 25 students. Open only to students who have
completed less than six credit hours.
- EDUB 1990 (132.199) Teacher and Technology
An introduction to educational and information technology in the
classroom. Focus will be on the utilization of technology, the
development of information skills for teachers and critical
analyses of the potential of educational technology.
- EDUB 5470 (132.547) Theory and Practice
of Designing and Developing Online Courses
Theory and practice of the design, development and evaluation
of on-line web-based distance education courses for K-12
through adult/post-secondary programs. Note: Graduate
students may receive graduate credit by registering for
132.736 (L02).
- EDUB 7300 (132.730) Perspectives on Curriculum
An examination of the historical development of curriculum
as a field of study, the main orientation of the curriculum
design, and the social and political contexts of curriculum.
Students may not hold credit for both 132.730 and the former
063.734.
- EDUB 7450 (132.745) Seminar in Educational
Technology
A review of current research in educational technology and a critical
appraisal of recent technology in instructional development.
- EDUB 7460 (132.746) Information Technology
and Education
A theoretic study of information media and environments, their
educational and societal impact, and their educational application.
Students may not hold credit for both 132.746 and the former
081.723.
- EDUB 7560 (132.756) Theory and Practice
of Curriculum Design and Development
An examination of the theory and practice of the design,
development, implementation and evaluation of curricula for
K-12 and adult/post-secondary levels. Prerequisite:
132.755 Historical and Contemporary Approaches to Curriculum,
or written consent of instructor.
