Cheryl Fraehlich
Dr. Cheryl Fraehlich, Research Associate at RESOLVE Manitoba, also teaches in the Department of Family Social Sciences at the University of Manitoba. She holds an interdisciplinary PhD with the departments of Social Work, Family Social Sciences and Sociology. In addition to research examining family violence, Cheryl’s research has also included community based projects which examined the educational and employment experiences and the challenges involved in these experiences among Aboriginal adults and youth in Winnipeg. Currently she is working on the Rural and Northern Community Response to Intimate Partner Violence project, a project examining the sexual exploitation of young women in northern Manitoba, and an evaluation of an educational program for individuals exiting the sex trade.
