Manitoba Research Data Centre

Researcher Communication
Please keep in mind that there is no vetting of output on Fridays.

The Research Data Centre is staffed by Statistics Canada employees.  Note that the RDC is closed on federal government statutory holidays - a list of dates is posted on the Centre bulletin board.

Please continue to notify RDC staff in advance when you intend to visit the Centre. It is possible that unforeseen circumstances (such as illness) will result in the RDC being closed without the opportunity to provide advance notice.  Every attempt will be made to ensure that the RDC voice message (789-3293) provides current information, and it is advisable to check to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.

Reciprocal parking arrangements at the Bannatyne campus are now available for University of Manitoba faculty and students with valid Fort Garry campus parking permits, who are visiting the Research Data Centre. Ask Centre staff for details.

Health Reports is Canada’s must-read, peer-reviewed journal for discoveries in population health and health services research. Health Reports publishes original research on diverse topics related to understanding and improving the health of populations and the delivery of health care. The journal welcomes submissions based on analyses of national/provincial surveys or national/provincial administrative databases, as well as results of international comparative health research.  Health Reports furthermore encourages the sharing of methodological information among those engaged in the analysis of health surveys or administrative databases. Published monthly electronically and quarterly in print by the Health Information and Research Division of Statistics Canada, Health Reports articles are indexed in the biomedical journal online database MEDLINE/PubMed and are positioned for widespread media uptake through release in Statistics Canada’s Daily.  You can find us at: www.statcan.ca/healthreports
