Current Research Projects
CRTA members recently participated as organizers and plenary speakers in the Internaltional Symposium on Recent Advances in Molecular, Clinical, and Social Medicine held on November 24-26, 2009 in Shantou, P.E. China.  A special issue of Biochemistry and Cell Biology Volume 88, Number 4, August 2010 was devoted to the proceedings. 

In addition, CRTA members were involved in the organization of the East-West Alliance held on June 3 and 4, 2010 in Winnipeg,  The East-West Alliance is a prestigious international network of Asian and western medical research institutions and faculties, including the University of Manitoba, that have been supported by the Li Ka Shing Foundation.  Participating universities include the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shantou University, St. Michael's Hospital, University of Toronto, Stanford University, University of Calfirnia - Berkeley, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of Hong Kong and Institut Pasteur.
