The CUCA Level II program is designed to enhance and strengthen the managerial and leadership skills of administrators of both academic and administrative units, enabling them to recognize, meet, and handle current and emerging issues across a wide range of circumstances.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
- Revised Program as of September 1, 2010 -
The revised program builds on the topics offered in the CUCA Level I Certificate program and is comprised of electives. Registrants in the revised program are required to complete ANY EIGHT courses selected from the courses below (see Revised Program list of courses below).
As of September 1, 2010 there will be minor changes in the program structure to reflect the new challenges of Canadian post secondary administrators. With the addition of new courses, there will also no longer be core courses. CUCA II will now only consist of electives.
*A certificate is obtained after successful completion of eight courses.

Each completed course is granted 25 contact hours.
The total length of the CUCA Level II Certificate Program is 200 contact hours.
COURSE DELIVERY
Courses are delivered via the University of Manitoba's Learning Management System - ANGEL Learning. The program will be offered on a rotating schedule of at least two courses per term so that the students can complete the Certificate in a minimum of two years. The maximum time for completion of the program is seven years.
INSTRUCTORS
Instructors will be recruited from among administrators and academics that have practical experience in a specific course area. The instructional methodology will emphasize active learning principles, using a variety of experiential approaches involving participants from different institutions interacting in on-line communities.
