Why should I take this course?
The Institute on the Student Experience (ISE) is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skill to return to their campuses with a more strategic, integrated and collaborative approach to delivering an exceptional student experience.
Who should attend?
ISE is an advanced program for post-secondary leaders, specifically University and College Advisors, Managers, Student Affairs Directors, Academic Deans, Associate Deans, Academic Union/Association Presidents, Vice-Presidents Academic and Provosts, Vice Provost and AVPs Student Affairs and Presidents. Graduates of CISAS would also benefit from this course.
Program Topics
We will connect vision, mission, strategies, goals, high impact approaches and assessment practices to elevate student engagement and success. We will study student development and the relationship of theory and practice to effectively respond to today’s learners - who they are and how they learn. We will design more integrative organizational structures to effectively collaborate and deliver our promise of an enriching learning and development experience both in and outside the classroom. Our collective focus will build partnerships amongst senior administration, academic deans, faculty, student affairs professionals, student leaders, alumni and the external community. We will forecast emerging trends and issues and teach contemporary approaches to strategic enrolment management, student leadership development, risk management and student threat assessment.
