Dr. Paul Buteux is a Senior Research Fellow with the Centre for Defence and Security Studies, and retired Professor in the Department of Political Studies, University of Manitoba. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council of Canada, and the Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies. His publications include The Politics of Nuclear Consultation in NATO: 1965-1980; Strategy, Doctrine and the Politics of Alliance: Theatre Nuclear Force Modernization in NATO; as well as numerous articles on NATO, European Security, Canadian Defence Policy and East-West relations.
