CCWOC's First Voices, First
Texts Colloquium, held from March 26 to 28, 2010, brought together experts on
Aboriginal literature to establish first principles to guide the re-publication
of Aboriginal-authored books that have fallen out of print. Creating
critical editions more responsive to oral culture and cultural contexts is a
key aim of this endeavour.
Attendees included Jesse Barber, Natasha Beeds, David Carr, Keith Carlson, Paul
DePasquale, Renate Eigenbrod, Kristina Fagan, Gabrielle Hill, Roberta Kennedy,
Keavy Martin, Sophie McCall, Sam McKegney, Neal McLeod, Daniel David Moses,
Sharron Proulx-Turner, Deanna Reder, Niigon Sinclair, Pamela Sing, and Cheryl
Suzack.
