Catherine has been with the Centre on Aging, University of Manitoba, since 1992. As the Administrative Coordinator for the Centre, Catherine is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and human resources for the Centre on Aging. Additional duties includes coordinating the Centre’s Research Seminar Series and coordinating the annual Spring Research Symposium.
Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts (Sociology, Political Science) Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1975.
Before coming to the Centre on Aging, Catherine worked at the Faculty of Education providing support for the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education program. She was the project coordinator of the Department of Sociology’s Winnipeg Area Study in the mid-1980’s which was led by Dr. Raymond Currie and Dr. Karen Grant. She provided support to a study on mental health by Dr.’s Alexander Segall, Bruce Tefft, and Barry Trute. Catherine also worked as a telephone interviewer with the Social Sciences Division of University of Manitoba Research Ltd. led by Dr. Greg Mason.
