The Age-Friendly Communities Research Alliance is designed to support community development within the eight domains identified by the World Health Organization through rigorous research.

It will address questions such as

• What constitutes an age-friendly community from the perspectives of seniors?
• How age-friendly are communities currently?
• What are some of the challenges in creating age-friendly communities?
• What can we learn from other cities and communities that have tried similar approaches?
