Timelines for Project Delivery
 

Step 1 - Project Initiation
The Project Request Form is where all projects begin. Clients must complete all required information on the form, including the appropriate signing authority and FOAP. Any questions regarding this form can be directed toward Bev Henry or Lori Clayson.

TO HELP US MEET YOUR PROJECT GOALS, PLEASE PLAN AND IMPLEMENT YOUR REQUESTS WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR REQUIRED COMPLETION DATE.

Step 2 - Estimate
Once the Project Request Form is received, the project is assigned to an AES Project Lead (PL). The PL connects with the Client to arrange and execute an initial Client / site meeting (as required). The PL provides an Order of Magnitude costing and a summary of the project scope for Client sign-off.

Step 3 - Design
During this phase, the PL works with the in-house AES design team or external consultants to develop design documents. The Client will be asked to review and approve the design.

Step 4 - Tender
In-house trades and/or external contractors bid on project work based on the approved design documents. Once the bid closes, the lowest compliant bid is selected, and the Client must approve the successful bid.

Step 5 - Construction
Length of construction varies greatly by project. Construction timelines will be communicated by the PL.

Step 6 - Project Close-out
A review of work is performed, and Client acceptance of substantial completion is required. Deficiency and/or warranty work will be completed as required.
