Conferences & Short Term Stays

From early May until mid-August of each year, the residences are open for conference and group accommodation. We also offer short stays (29 days or less) for those not affiliated with conferences or groups, but who would like to stay on campus during the summer months.

► Conferences and Groups:
Rooms are available in three types of residences on the Fort Garry Campus:

Suite-Style - Arthur V. Mauro Residence (AVM)
Room with Private Washroom - Pembina Hall Residence (PHR)
Dormitory-Style - Mary Speechly Hall (MSH)

NB: We will hold room blocks for up until 30 DAYS PRIOR to the conference or event. Participants should be aware that any reservations received after that time will be subject to availability.

► Short Stays (29 days or less):

Office Hours are extended during summer (staff are scheduled at Arthur V. Mauro Residence 24/7) to help you plan your check-in and check-out.

► Suite-Style Residence - Arthur V. Mauro Residence

Each suite consists of two bedrooms. Each bedroom within a suite includes:

A double bed, extra long
Desk and chair
Closet and dresser
Air conditioning beginning in June (fans available for May)
Free wired Internet access (Ethernet cable required)

► AVM Suite Floor Plan

Shared access to:

En-suite washroom shared with suitemate only
En-suite kitchenette including: sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, table, chairs, and cupboards shared with suitemate only
Communal lounge on most floors with TV

You will need to provide:

Your own kitchenware (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, etc.)
Personal supplies (dishsoap, handsoap, shampoo, etc.)
Items such as bedside lamps, alarm clocks, computer cables, hangers, etc.

► Single Room with Private Washroom - Pembina Hall Residence

Each room complete with its own private bathroom and shower and consists of:

A single bed, adjustable height
Desk and chair
Stackable storage drawers
Storage drawer with padded seat
Bookcase
Closet
Air conditioning
Free wired and wireless Internet access (cable required)

Each room includes the use of:

A single twin-sized bed
Desk, chair, and bookshelf
Closet or wardrobe
Electric fan
Free Internet access
Shared male washrooms & showers; shared female washrooms & showers on floor

• 1 bedroom (double bed), in a two bedroom suite: single or double occupancy	$69.00* per night *Total with taxes is $80.90 per night
• 2 bedroom suite: single or double occupancy per bedroom	$138.00* per night *Total with taxes is $161.80 per night

► Room with Private Washroom - Pembina Hall Residence

• Single (1 single bed):
single occupancy only

*Total with taxes is $80.90 per night

► Dormitory-Style - Adults - Mary Speechly Hall

• Single (1 single bed): single occupancy only	$45.00* per night *Total with taxes is $52.76 per night
• Double (2 single beds): double occupancy only	$35.00* per person per night *Total with taxes is $41.04 per night

* Rates are subject to 7% PST, 5% GST, and 5% AT** and 5% GST on the AT
** City of Winnipeg Accommodation Tax (AT) is applied on rooms renting for more than $30 per night. Therefore it is not applicable to the Youth Rates in the Dormitory Residences.

► 2012 Summer Meal Rates (for Conference Guests)

• Hot Breakfast	$8.99
• Lunch	$11.25
• Dinner	$14.25
Total /Day	$34.49 plus taxes*

Saturday/Sunday meals include brunch and dinner. Brunch is served during the standard lunch period and is at the lunch cost. Large groups may request full meal service on weekends.

* All meals are subject to 7% PST and 5% GST. Meals for 30 days or more are not subject to tax.

► Short Term Stays Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation less than 48 hours prior to reservation check-in or "no-show," you will be charged for one night's stay.
