Recruitment for Chair in Biomedical Engineering at University of Limerick, Ireland

These Chair roles are the second trance of professorships to be recruited as part of the University of Limerick's 52 Million Bernal Project. The project will enhance its research in Applied Science & Engineering by appointing 10 Bernal Chairs and constructing a purpose built 6000m² experimental facility
 
The Chair in Biomedical Engineering position is focused on engineering approaches to experimentation and modelling in mechanobiology, cell & tissue engineering or biocompatibility of materials, applied, but not restricted to areas such as biomechanics, neurotechnology and regenerative medicine. A thorough knowledge of cell & tissue mechanics and chemistry, and/or molecular and stem cell biology is important. An interest in extracellular matrix (ECM) behaviour and clinical translation would be highly desirable.
