Koven Technology Canada’s department of cardiovascular innovation is seeking an inspired medical device engineer to join our Team. Koven’s engineering consulting group provides our clients with clarity on their journey to better patient outcomes and market success by providing solutions to their commercialization ideas and challenges. This position works under the authority and direction of the Director of Research & Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct formal ideation sessions to generate product solutions
    Produce design specifications and drawings
    Create medical device proof of concept models and prototypes
    Develop & perform design verification and validation tests
    Create and maintain project documentation according to our Quality Management System (QMS) and recognized international standards
    Communicate effectively with peers, clients, suppliers and consultants

Qualifications:  

    Demonstrated verbal & written communications skills
    Engineering degree – Biomedical preferred
    Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or Engineer in Training (EIT) with Engineers & Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM)
    Experience with rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes
    Proficiency with CAD, circuit design, and firmware development preferred
    Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem-solving skills
    Ability to work independently, and adapt to flexible task needs
    Knowledge of product development & product commercialization

Recruitment for Chair in Biomedical Engineering at University of Limerick, Ireland

These Chair roles are the second trance of professorships to be recruited as part of the University of Limerick's 52 Million Bernal Project. The project will enhance its research in Applied Science & Engineering by appointing 10 Bernal Chairs and constructing a purpose built 6000m² experimental facility
 
The Chair in Biomedical Engineering position is focused on engineering approaches to experimentation and modelling in mechanobiology, cell & tissue engineering or biocompatibility of materials, applied, but not restricted to areas such as biomechanics, neurotechnology and regenerative medicine. A thorough knowledge of cell & tissue mechanics and chemistry, and/or molecular and stem cell biology is important. An interest in extracellular matrix (ECM) behaviour and clinical translation would be highly desirable.
