Transfer Credit - Diploma to Degree

Students in the Diploma in Agriculture program from the University of Manitoba now have the option to transfer up to TWO years (60 credit hours) into the Degree program.Some points to consider:

• Only students with a Diploma GPA of 3.00 or greater will be allowed the full 60 credit hours of transfer. Those with a GPA less than 3.00 will have transfers made on a course by course basis.
• The 60 credit hours of transfer would only occur when transfer is made into a similar degree program (eg. From Agribusiness Management and Agricultural Finance in diploma into Agribusiness in degree; Livestock Management in diploma into Animal Systems in degree; Crop Management in diploma into Agronomy or Agroecology in degree; General Agriculture in diploma would have easiest transfer into Agronomy in degree)
• Students will only be able to transfer 48 credit hours into Plant Biotechnology program.
• The B.SC. (Food Science) was not considered because of the very different program requirements. Transfers into Food Science would continue to be done on a course by course basis.
