Glenlea Guardian Graduate Fund
The Glenlea Guardian Graduate Fund is an appeal to our alumni to support the Glenlea Farm Education Centre.
The Glenlea Farm Education Centre is an ambitious undertaking that will help Manitobans and other visitors learn about the many ways in which food is produced in Canada. With your help, this Centre will address the challenges and opportunities to bring safe, affordable and healthy food to the kitchen table.
Like you, I am convinced of the need to engage our youth in making the connection between food and agriculture, and in understanding the science in all facets of food production - from soil to supper plate. The Centre will be the only one of its kind in the world and I can’t think of a better cadre of citizens to build this legacy than you, the alumni.
Help us build it.

I am appealing directly to you, and other established alumni of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, for this one-time $200 contribution in the hope that we can collectively raise $500,000 and strengthen our position in leveraging additional funds for the Centre. With your generous support, we will build the Glenlea Guardian Graduate Fund and come closer to attaining the $4 million required to construct and help operate the facility. To date, public and private donors have rallied to the call and contributed over $2.5 million.
Please click on the donor link to make a secure online contribution. If you can see fit to give more than the requested $200 please do so. Graduate Fund contributions will be recognized in a fitting manner by the Centre’s donor recognition scheme. If you have any questions about our vision for the Centre please do not hesitate to contact me or Dr. Karin Wittenberg at 474-6029.
Thank you for your continuing support and for considering this special request. I look forward to the day when we can stand, together and proud, at the entrance of the Glenlea Farm Education Centre and welcome in the world.
Sincerely,
Michael Trevan
Dean, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences
