Farm Profile - Harold Janzen, Morris, MB

Harold Janzen farms east of Morris on heavy Osborne clay soil growing soybeans, canola, wheat, oats and perennial ryegrass for seed. For on farm trials he has both an air seeder and high clearance sprayer equipped with variable rate capability. Harvested crop can be measured with a combine equipped to monitor and map yield and a grain cart with scale. Harold has conducted numerous product trials with pesticide companies and has compared standard vs. variable rates of fertilizer with his variable rate fertilization advisor.
