Fourth Floor Renovations
Functional teaching and research space is an integral part of the equation in post-secondary education. Unfortunately, the fourth floor of the Faculty of Dentistry no longer fulfills the needs of students and faculty and has failed to live up to the high standards held by our Faculty. Therefore, the Faculty of Dentistry has moved forward with an initiative to renovate and repurpose the fourth floor.
Upgrades to the fourth floor will include renovation of sterilization area in the undergraduate clinic, creation of additional office space for research investigators and graduate students and the addition of modern high-tech teaching and communication spaces.
These new spaces will allow researchers to interact more effectively and to communicate and share data and information with colleagues around the world. The teaching and communication spaces will include voice/data capabilities and “smart classroom” and distance education capabilities that provide highly functional spaces to support research and related training programs.
