Known for its friendly people and welcoming spirit, the University of Manitoba offers a range of vibrant cultural events and activities ranging from fine and performing arts to lectures, colloquia, workshops and lectures both on and off campus. Winnipeg is home to Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and much more. There is a year-round slate of festivals including Festival du Voyageur, Folklorama and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Winnipeg also offers an impressive theatre and arts scene, from the world’s largest collection of Inuit Art, to locally created art.
Our Bison Recreation Services has been offering quality programs and services for more than 78 years and offers membership services and recreational programming for 27,000 University of Manitoba Students, Faculty & Staff, Alumni and the Community.
