The Faculty of Environment is conducting a search for a Head of the Department of Geological Sciences. Position #AAW626. This is an internal search, thus only persons currently holding tenured appointments at the University of Manitoba can be considered.

The duties of the Head of the Department of Geological Sciences are governed by University Policy 1009. Some of the responsibilities of the Head are also governed by the terms and conditions of relevant Collective Agreements. Policy 1009 is available on the University of Manitoba Web Home Page under the heading Administrative/Policy and Procedure Manual.

The appointment is to begin July 1, 2004. Applications should include a current C.V., a written statement expressing the candidate’s view of how the Department should develop and fulfil its mission and role within the Faculty and University over the next five to ten years, and the names of three referees, and should be sent to:
