Senate Motions for June 21, 2017
 

The following motions were approved by Senate at its meeting on June 21, 2017:


THAT Senate approve:

  • the Report of the Senate Committee on Curriculum and Course Changes concerning a correction to the Report of April 18, 2017;
  • the Report of the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Graduate Studies on Course and Curriculum Changes concerning the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science the College of Nursing, effective Fall Term 2017;
  • revisions to the Academic Schedule for 2017-2018, Diploma in Agriculture;
  • the Report of the Senate Committee on Medical Qualifications concerning Dr. Michael Love;
  • the Report of the Senate Committee on Approved Teaching Centres concerning Cross-Registered Courses and Instructors for 2017-2018, effective Fall Term 2017.

THAT the minutes of the Senate meeting held on May 17, 2017 be approved as circulated.

THAT Senate recommend that the Board of Governors approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Awards – Part B [dated May 2, 2017].

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Faculty Council of Graduate Studies on Program and Curriculum Changes concerning the Department of Community Health Sciences, effective Fall Term 2017.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation concerning revisions to academic policies and procedures for the Undergraduate Medical Education program, Max Rady College of Medicine, effective Fall Term 2017.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation concerning revisions to the regulation on Repeating, Substituting, and Extra Courses, for the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, I.H. Asper School of Business, effective Fall Term 2017.

THAT Senate approve the Student Accessibility procedure and recommend that the Board of Governors approve the Accessibility policy, as set out in the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation, effective September 1, 2017.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation concerning a proposal to establish a policy on Accommodation for Undergraduate Pharmacy Students with Disabilities, College of Pharmacy, effective Fall Term 2017.

THAT Senate approve the Reports of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation and the Senate Committee on Admissions concerning proposed Essential Skills and Abilities for Admission, Promotion, and Graduation in the Pharmacy Program, College of Pharmacy, effective (i) September 2017 for continuing students and (ii) for the September 2018 intake, with respect to revised admission requirements.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Nominations [dated June 8, 2017].
