Senate Motions for April 2, 2014

The following motions were approved by the Senate at its meeting on April 2, 2014:


THAT the minutes of the Senate meeting held on March 5, 2014 be approved as circulated.

THAT Senate approve and recommend to the Board of Governors, the Report of the Senate Committee on Awards – Part B [February 25, 2014].

THAT Senate approve, and recommend to the Board of Governors, a proposal to revise the name of the Department of Physiology to the “Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology,” effective upon approval by the Board of Governors.

THAT Senate approve, and recommend to the Board of Governors, a proposal to revise the name of the School of Medical Rehabilitation to the “College of Rehabilitation Sciences,” effective upon the formal implementation of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Faculty Council of Graduate Studies on Program and Curriculum Changes concerning program modifications in the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science, effective September 1, 2014.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Faculty Council of Graduate Studies on Program and Curriculum Changes concerning a proposal to discontinue the requirement to submit a hardcopy of the thesis/practicum, effective September 1, 2014.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Admissions concerning revised admission requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (Integrated Studies), effective for the September 2015 intake.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Admissions concerning revised admission requirements for the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education, effective upon approval by Senate.
